Head of Communications and Public Engagement
Mark Gardner delivers communications and public engagement strategy for Smart Data Research UK. He is responsible for communicating the work and impact of the programme. He also works closely with communicators across the UK Research and Innovation, other related data investments and government.
Before this role, Mark managed communications for major international science programmes for the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
Previously, Mark Gardner worked in public relations for the National Governance Association. Mark has a Master’s in creative writing and studied English Literature at the University of Manchester.
