Osama Rahman

Osama Rahman is a Smart Data Research UK programme board member.

Osama is the Director of the Data Science Campus at the Office for National Statistics. He is the Co-Chair of the UK Public Sector Data Science Leaders Network; Chair of the United Nations Data Science Leaders Network; a Bureau Member of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Big Data; on the Executive Board of the United Nations High Level Group on the Modernisation of Statistics; a member of the Advisory Board of the Singapore Department of Statistics; and a member of the Expert Group advising the Data Science Competence Centre at the Swiss Federal Statistical Office. 

Previously Osama Rahman was Chief Analyst and Chief Scientific Adviser at the Department for Education, having previously been Chief Analyst and Chief Scientific Adviser at the Ministry of Justice.  He is also an Independent Governor at Oxford Brookes University.
